AmpsWorks Electric

Frequently Asked Questions

Electrical fire, sparking, or smoke? Call 911 first. Our line below is for urgent repairs, not emergency dispatch.

Do you offer free quotes?

Yes — quotes are free and with no obligation. Call or email us with the details of your job and we'll get you an estimate.

What areas do you serve?

Spokane, WA and the surrounding area. If you're unsure whether you're in range, just call — happy to check.

What's the $150 emergency fee?

For after-hours and emergency calls, a $150 emergency fee applies in addition to labor, and after-hours work is billed at our emergency rate rather than standard daytime rates. We'll always let you know the cost before starting work whenever possible.

Are you licensed?

AmpsWorks Electric operates in accordance with Washington State electrical contractor licensing requirements. Our contractor license number is listed in our Terms of Service. Feel free to ask for our license number directly, or verify it with WA L&I before hiring.

Do you work on both homes and businesses?

Yes — residential and commercial electrical work, from small repairs to larger installs.

How fast can you respond to an emergency?

We take emergency calls 24/7. Response time depends on current jobs and your location within the service area — call and we'll give you a realistic estimate right away.

Is it safe to pay my invoice online?

Yes. Online payments are processed directly by Stripe, a major third-party payment processor — we never see or store your card details ourselves. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Do I need a permit for my electrical work?

Some jobs require a permit and inspection from the City of Spokane, Spokane County, or the State of Washington. We'll tell you upfront if your job needs one — permitting responsibility is shared between property owner and contractor as required by law.
